Overview: Although you are not able to delete a Time Off Accrual Entry, you can add a new Time Off Accrual Entry to offset the balance.

Common Use Cases: The Time Off Accrual Entry can be used if you accidentally added a duplicate accrual entry in the amount of 40 hours and need to remove 40 hours.

Instructions:

1. You will want to start by visiting the profile of the employee who's balance you need to adjust. You can do this by clicking Employees in the top navigation and the View next to the employee's name.

2. Once in their profile, click Time Off from the left-hand menu.

3. At the Time Off section, you'll want to click the +Add Time Off Accrual Entry button:

On the following page, you'll need to select the time off type you want to adjust, the date of the entry, how many hours to subtract, and any notes. Because you are wanting to deduct a balance, you will want to enter a negative number.

Once done, you can view the history for that time off type and will see the deducted entry as well as the employee's new balance.

A: No, Buddy Punch users are not able to delete a Time Off Accrual Entry. You can add an additional Time Off Accrual Entry to counter the balance or you can also reach out to Buddy Punch support to have it deleted.
