To better manage your employees, you may want to take advantage of Buddy Punch's notifications. In this article, we'll go over each notification we offer as well and how they can be used.

Notifications can be sent in varying forms. Some notifications are sent via email only, while others can be send via email, push notification or both. All users have their own communication preference settings which can be found in their personal profile. The personal profile can be accessed by clicking your name in the top right hand corner of the dashboard followed by My Profile.

Notifications (No Scheduling Required)

Overtime Alert - This notification allows you to setup a daily or weekly overtime alert that can be sent to an Employee, Manager or Administrator via email, push notification or both.

Approve Time Card Reminder - This notification allows you to send out reminders to Managers or Administrators to approve employee time cards. This alert can be set to trigger a specific amount of days before or after your pay period ends and can be sent via email, push notification or both.

Submit Time Card Reminder - This notification allows you to send out reminders to Employees, Managers or Administrators to submit time cards for approval. This alert can be set to trigger a specific amount of days before or after your pay period ends and can be sent via email, push notification or both.
 
Punch In Reminder - This notification allows you to send an email, push notification or both to an Employee, Manager or Administrator reminding the user to punch in. This particular notification can be set to trigger at a specific time of day or after an employee has punched out for lunch/break for a certain amount of time.

Punch Out Reminder - This notification allows you to send an email, push notification or both to an Employee, Manager or Administrator reminding the user to punch out. This particular notification can be set to trigger at a specific time of day or after an employee worked a certain amount of minutes and hours on a daily or weekly basis.

Punch Changes - This notification is found within each user's personal profile. When enabled, you can be sent an email when punch changes occur.

Notifications on each Punch - This notification is found within each Admin or Manager's personal profile. When enabled, you can be sent an email every time an employee punches in or out.

Time Card Approval Status Change - This notification is found within each user's personal profile. When enabled, you can be sent an email every time the status of a time card changes. (Pending, Approved Rejected)
 
Time Off Changes - This notification is found within each user's personal profile. When enabled, you can be sent an email every time a user requests time off and when the time off is deleted or approved.

Notifications (Scheduling Required)

Early In Alert - This notification allows an Employee, Manager or Administrator to be notified by email or push notification when a user punches in early for their assigned shift. You can specify how soon before the employees shift that you'd like the notification to trigger.

Late In Alert - This notification allows an Employee, Manager or Administrator to be notified by email or push notification when a user punches in late for their assigned shift. You can specify how soon after the shift has started that the notification will trigger.

Early Out Alert  - This notification allows an Employee, Manager or Administrator to be notified by email or push notification when a user punches out early for their assigned shift. You can specify how soon before the employee's shift ends that the notification should trigger.

Late Out Alert - This notification allows an Employee, Manager or Administrator to be notified by email or push notification when a user punches out early for their assigned shift. You can specify how soon after the employee's shift ends that the notification should trigger.

Missed In Alert - This notification allows an Employee, Manager or Administrator to be notified by email or push notification when a user punches out early for their assigned shift. You can specify how soon after the employee's shift has started that the notification will trigger.

Missed Out Alert - This notification allows an Employee, Manager or Administrator to be notified by email or push notification when a user punches out early for their assigned shift. You can specify how soon after the employee's shift has ended that the notification will trigger.

Punch In Alert (No Shift) - If an employee hasn't been assigned a shift yet, they will have a No Shift option available (if enabled). This notification allows an Employee, Manager or Administrator to be notified by email or push notification when a user punches in using the No Shift option.

Shift Start Reminder - This notification allows an Employee, Manager or Administrator to be notified by email or push notification when a user hasn't punched in within X amount of minutes before their shift.

Shift End Reminder - This notification allows an Employee, Manager or Administrator to be notified by email or push notification when a user hasn't punched out within X amount of minutes before the end of their shift.
