Overview: We offer several different punching methods including username/password, QR Code, PIN, and Facial Recognition. Please choose your employer's preferred method below for instructions on how to punch in/out from our mobile app.

Punching In/Out (Username/Password)

1. To punch in/out using a username/password, start by launching the Buddy Punch app and entering your login credentials. (Left image)

2. Once logged in, you'll want to choose the Punch In button. If your employer allows for edits, you can choose the Punch In & Select Time option to choose your punch time. (Right image)

Important: What you see on the punch page will vary depending on the features your employer is using. You may also see the option to select Location, Department, or Position codes or a shift if scheduling is enabled. You may also be required to take a picture.

3. After you've chosen the Punch In button, you'll be asked to confirm your punch by selecting Yes. (Left image)

4. Once your punch in has completed, you'll receive a confirmation message and your status will change to Punched In. (Right image)

5. To punch out, simply login to the Buddy Punch app and choose the Punch Out button. (Left image)

6. You'll be asked to confirm your punch by selecting Yes. (Middle image)

7. Once the punch process has completed you'll receive a confirmation message and your punch status will change to Punched Out. (Right image)

Punching In/Out (QR Code)

1. To punch in/out using a QR Code start by launching the Buddy Punch app and choose the QR Code option on the login screen. (Left image)

2. You'll then be asked to place your QR Code inside the scan area. (Right image)

3. Once the code has been scanned, you'll be punched in and receive a confirmation message. (Left image)

4. You'll go through the same process when punching out. (Right image)

Punching In/Out (Kiosk/PIN)

1. To punch in/out using a PIN start by launching the Buddy Punch app and choose the PIN Code option on the login screen. (Left image)

2. You'll then want to enter the unique 4-digit PIN provided by your employer. (Right image)

3. You'll then want to click the Punch In button. (Left image)

Important: What you see on the punch page will vary depending on the features your employer is using. You may also see the option to select Location, Department, or Position codes or a shift if scheduling is enabled. You may also be required to take a picture.

4. You'll be asked to confirm the punch process by clicking Yes. (Middle image)

5. Once the punch has processed you'll receive a confirmation message and will be taken back to the PIN punching page. (Right image)

6. To punch out, simply enter your 4-digit PIN and choose the Punch Out button. (Left image)

7. You'll be asked to confirm the punch out by choosing the Yes option. (Middle image)

8. Once the punch has processed you'll receive a confirmation message and will be taken back to the PIN punching page. (Right image)

Punching In/Out (Facial Recognition)

1. To punch in/out using Facial Recognition, start by launching the Buddy Punch app and choose the Facial Recognition option on the login screen. (Left image)

2. You'll then want to choose the Punch button. (Middle image)

3. You'll be asked to take a picture - once you've taken one that you're satisfied with, choose the OK button. (Right image)

4. Once the punch in has been processed, you'll receive a confirmation message. Click OK to close it. (Left image)

5. The same process will be done when punching out. Once your punch out has been processed, you'll receive a confirmation message. Click OK to close it. (Right image)

FAQ:

Q: Why am I being asked to have my picture taken?

A: All of our punching methods have the option to require a picture. If you're being asked to take a picture prior to punching time, this was enabled by your administrator. Please reach out to them if you believe this is an error.
