How to Enter a Child Support Order

Overview: Administrators can enter child support orders directly from the Buddy Punch website. Adding a child support order ensures that deductions are processed correctly through payroll and remitted as required.


Enter a Child Support Order

1. Start by navigating to the Payroll --> People page:

2. And then click View next to the name of the worker in question:

3. This will take you to their payroll profile. Click Post Tax Deductions from the left-hand menu, and once in that section, click +Add New:

4. Change the Type dropdown to Child Support and proceed with entering the details shown in the child support order:

5. After you enter and Save the post-tax deduction details, you'll be taken back to the payroll profile and shown a green confirmation message stating Post Tax Deduction Added:

6. If you click the Post Tax Deductions option from the left-hand menu, you'll be taken to that section where you can view the newly added child support order along with options to Edit or Delete if needed:
