Overview: If your employer requires you to take a picture when punching in/out or switching, youโll need to enable camera permissions for the Buddy Punch app. This article explains how to enable the camera for the Buddy Punch app from different mobile devices.

Android Devices
Android 14
Open the Settings app.
Scroll down and tap Apps.
Locate and tap Buddy Punch from the list of apps.
Tap Permissions.
Tap Camera and select Allow only while using the app or Ask every time.
Android 13 and Android 12
Open the Settings app.
Scroll down and tap Apps.
Locate and tap Buddy Punch from the list of apps.
Tap Permissions.
Select Camera and choose Allow only while using the app or Ask every time.
Android 11
Open the Settings app.
Scroll down and tap Apps.
Tap See all apps and find Buddy Punch.
Tap Permissions.
Select Camera and set it to Allow while using the app or Ask every time.
Android 10
Open the Settings app.
Tap Apps โ Find and select Buddy Punch.
Tap Permissions.
Toggle Camera to Allow.
Android 9 and Below
Open the Settings app.
Navigate to Apps or Application Manager.
Scroll to and select Buddy Punch.
Tap Permissions.
Enable Camera by toggling it On.
iOS Devices
For iOS Devices:
Tap the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
Scroll down and tap on Buddy Punch.
Toggle the Camera switch to On (green).
