Overview: Punch limiting allows you to specify a timeframe an employee is allowed to punch time. If you're using scheduling, you can set punch limiting to the schedule.

Punch Limiting (With Scheduling)

1. To set up punch limiting to the schedule, you'll want to start by clicking Settings --> Punch Limiting:

2. Once on the Punch Limiting page, select the +Add a New Punch Limiting Rule button:

3. You'll then need to enter a name for your punch limiting rule and specify how many minutes before or after a shift an employee is allowed to punch time. You'll then want to assign the necessary employees to the rule and click Save.

Now if an employee tries to punch time outside of their shift and timeframe specified, they'll receive an error message.


Punch Limiting (Without Scheduling)

1. To set up punch limiting without scheduling, you'll want to start by clicking Settings --> Punch Limiting:

3. You'll then need to enter a name for your punch limiting rule and specify the timeframe an employee is allowed to punch time. You'll then want to assign the necessary employees to the rule and click Save.
