New York Disability Benefits Law (DBL)
New York State requires most employers to provide disability insurance coverage for employees who cannot work due to non-work-related illness or injury.
Disability premiums are funded through employee payroll deductions.
The deduction rate is 0.5% of wages, up to a maximum of $0.60 per week.
Buddy Punch will automatically calculate and withhold the required DBL deduction from employee wages.
