Answer: To help protect your account and sensitive data, Buddy Punch includes an automatic logout feature. This works similarly to security measures used by banking and financial apps.
Important: The automatic log-out feature is built in for security and isn’t customizable at this time.
Automatic Log Out — Website
Buddy Punch has an automatic logout feature for security—similar to what you’d see on a banking site.
Employees will see a pop-up after 5 minutes of inactivity asking if they want to stay logged in or log out. If there’s no response, the system will log them out automatically.
Managers are logged out after 30 minutes of inactivity.
Administrators are logged out after 60 minutes of inactivity.
As long as you're actively using Buddy Punch within the allowed time, you won’t see the pop-up or be logged out.
Automatic Log Out — Mobile App
If you're using the mobile app and notice that you're being logged out, it’s likely due to built-in security features.
Locked Device: If you lock your phone or tablet while the app is open and leave the device locked for a prolonged period of time, you'll be logged out automatically for security reasons.
App Running in the Background: If you leave the app running in the background for a while, it will also log you out after a set amount of time.
These measures help protect your account and data. Just log back in to continue using the app!
