Punch Rounding will allow you to set up rules where punches are automatically rounded up, down, or to the nearest based on the minute increment you select (anywhere between 2 min to 30 min). This is helpful if you have a large number of people punching in at the same time on the same device.

Here is an example that may help explain how it works:

If you setup punch rounding an "out" at a 2 minute increment, rounding down, it would use this schedule (based on times of 8:30 to 8:40):

8:30
8:32
8:34
8:36
8:38
8:40

If the punch out was any of the even numbers, no rounding would happen. If it was at any odd number, starting at 8:31, it would use the closest round number down (8:30 in the 8:31 example).

So for the 10 minutes in question, here is what would happen:
8:30 --> 8:30
8:31 --> 8:30
8:32 --> 8:32
8:33 --> 8:32
8:34 --> 8:34
8:35 --> 8:34
8:36 --> 8:36
8:37 --> 8:36
8:38 --> 8:38
8:39 --> 8:38
8:40 --> 8:40
