Q: When do time off accruals occur?
A: When time off accruals will occur depends on the frequency type chosen when creating the accrual rule:
We have three accrual options: Yearly, Per Pay Period, and Hours Worked.
Yearly you will be able to have Time Off accrue on a particular date for all employees or you can set an accrual date on an individual basis. This is a great option if you have employees that accrue Time Off on an anniversary or hire date.
If you choose Per Pay Period, then Time Off will accrue at the end of a pay period and only at that time.
If you choose Hours Worked, Time Off will accrue between 1 and 5 days after the pay period closes and only at that time. You can decide how many days after the pay period closes that accruals will take place.
Please Note: For the Hours Worked frequency type, if time is added to an employee's time card after the pay period has closed it will not be included in the accruals.
