How to Enable Spanish—Administrator (Web/App)

Step-by-step instructions covering how Administrators can enable Spanish from the Buddy Punch website or mobile app.

Overview: Administrators can enable Spanish as their display language from the Buddy Punch website or mobile app. Updating the language setting changes menus, navigation, and most prompts to Spanish for easier use.

Instructions:


Enable Spanish (App)

1. After opening the Buddy Punch mobile app, you'll find a language selector option as represented by a flag at the bottom. (Left image below)

2. Click it to change your language, and the app will automatically update. (Right image below)

3. After logging in, you will see the Dashboard and Menu in Spanish:

4. And can also view the Schedule and Availability in Spanish:

Enable Spanish (Web)

Although we don't have a formal language selector through our web application, most browsers have built-in translation capabilities.

Below are instructions for the most common browsers and how to translate to Spanish or any other language.


Google Chrome

1. Open Google Chrome and click on the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
2. Select Settings and scroll down to Languages.
3. Click Language, then Add languages.
4. Search for Spanish, select it, and click Add.
5. Click the three-dot menu next to Spanish and select Display Google Chrome in this language.
6. Restart Chrome for the changes to take effect.

Tip: If you want websites to automatically translate into Spanish, enable "Offer to translate pages that aren't in a language you read."

Mozilla Firefox

1. Open Firefox and click the menu button (☰) in the top-right corner.
2. Select Settings and scroll down to Language and Appearance.
3. Under Language, click Set Alternative Languages.
4. Click Select a language to add..., choose Spanish, then click Add.
5. Move Spanish to the top of the list to prioritize it.
6. Click OK, then restart Firefox.

Microsoft Edge

1. Open Microsoft Edge and click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
2. Select SettingsLanguages.
3. Click Add languages, search for Spanish, and select it.
4. Click the three-dot menu next to Spanish and select Display Microsoft Edge in this language.
5. Restart Edge for the changes to apply.

Tip: Enable "Offer to translate pages that aren't in a language you read" for automatic translations.

Safari (Mac)

1. Click the Apple menu and go to System SettingsLanguage & Region.
2. Click + (Add Language) and select Spanish.
3. Drag Spanish to the top of the Preferred Languages list.
4. Restart Safari to apply the changes.

Note: Safari follows macOS system language settings, so changing this will affect other apps as well.
