Shift End Reminder

Step-by-step instructions covering how to create and assign a shift end reminder from the Buddy Punch website as an Administrator.

Overview: The Shift End Reminder allows you to remind an employee to punch out at the end of their shift. The reminder can be sent to an Employee, Manager, or Administrator via email, push notification, or both.

Important! The Scheduling Add-On is required to use this reminder. More information about what's included in the Scheduling Add-On here.

Instructions:


Create a Shift End Reminder

1. Start by clicking Settings --> Alerts & Reminders:

2. Then click + Add a New Alert/Reminder:

3. You'll then be able to specify the:

  • Reminder Name—This will be in the message to employees.

  • Reminder Type—Shift End Reminder

  • Minutes—Minutes before the reminder will trigger before the shift ends

Important! Don't see the Shift End Reminder option?
You may not have Scheduling. More information about what's included in the Scheduling Add-On and how to enable it here.

4. You'll then want to choose who the message should be sent to and if it should be sent via email, push notification, or both. Assign the proper employees and Save once done:

5. If you need to edit or delete the reminder, you can do so by choosing the Edit or Delete buttons:

A: Yes, the Shift End Reminder can be sent to an employee, their manager, an administrator, or all users.

A: Yes! You can create as many Shift End Reminders as needed and on a per-employee basis.

Q: Why don't I see the Shift End Reminder in the Type dropdown on the reminder creation page?
