Overview: Employees can easily view their total work hours for the day, week, or full pay period using either the Buddy Punch website or mobile app. This allows for quick access to time worked and helps ensure everything is accurate before payroll.
Instructions:
View Work Hours (Web)
1. When you log in to the Buddy Punch website, you'll be on the Time Entry page. You'll see the punch in/out option on the left side and the Time Card for the current pay period on the right side:
2. At the top of the Time Card, you'll find a quick breakdown of the:
Total Time Off Used
Total Time Worked
Est. Pay Amount
3. Clicking Total Time Off will open a box that provides a more detailed breakdown of the time off used:
4. Clicking Total Time will open a box that provides a more detailed breakdown of the total time worked (excluding current shift information):
Important! The Total Time shown on the dashboard excludes the current shift time. The current shift time will be applied to the time card once the employee has punched out.
5. Clicking Estimated Pay Amount will open a box that provides a more detailed breakdown of the estimated pay:
Important! Don't see estimated pay on your time card? Then the feature hasn't been enabled by your employer. Please contact your account Administrator if you believe this is incorrect.
6. Below the Total Time area, you'll find a daily breakdown of the hours worked for the pay period. By clicking the ( + ) icon, you can expand the punch and view additional information such as notes or breaks:
7. And at the bottom of the Time Card, you'll find another quick recap of the total hours worked in the current pay period. To view previous pay periods, click the Past Time Cards option in the top right of the time card:
View Work Hours (App)
1. To view work hours from the mobile app, start by logging in and choosing Time Cards in the bottom navigation. (Left image below)
2. Once on the Time Card page, you'll find your total hours worked, any time off hours taken, and possibly estimated pay at the top.
Below that, you'll see a breakdown of the daily hours worked. You can click an entry to view it in more detail. (Middle image below)
3. When viewing Punch Details, you'll see shift details (if scheduling is being used) along with punch in, out, and break details. (Right image below)
Important! Don't see estimated pay on your time card? Then the feature hasn't been enabled by your employer. Please contact your account Administrator if you believe this is incorrect.
4. To view previous pay periods, head back to the Time Card page, and at the top, you'll find a Pay Period selection option. (Left image below)
5. Once clicked, it will populate a list of all previous pay period dates. (Middle image below)
6. By selecting a pay period, you'll be taken to the Time Card for that timeframe and can view the total pay period hours, along with daily work hours. (Right image below)
FAQ
Q: Can I edit or delete punches?
A: Employees cannot delete punches with start and end times; however, if edits are enabled, they can make edits to the punch times as needed.
Q: My work hours don't look correct. What should I do?
A: If your work hours don't look correct, it's best to first reach out to your account administrator or manager.
Q: Why don't I see estimated pay on my time card?
A: If you don't see estimated pay on your time card, then this option hasn't been enabled by your employer. Please contact your account Administrator if you believe this is incorrect.
