Overview: Administrators can initiate payroll onboarding for employees or contractors from the Buddy Punch website. Onboarding can be completed in two ways: by sending the worker an invitation to self-onboard, or by entering the required information directly as an Administrator. Both options ensure payroll is set up quickly and accurately.
Instructions:
Invite the Worker to Self-Onboard
1. To invite a worker to self-onboard payroll, start by clicking Payroll in the top navigation, followed by People:
2. Then click View next to the name of a worker:
3. You'll now be viewing the worker's payroll profile, where you can click Send Onboarding Email to open up onboarding for the worker:
4. The worker will receive an email like the one below:
Complete Onboarding as an Administrator
1. To start the onboarding process for a worker, start by clicking Payroll in the top navigation, followed by People:
2. Then click View next to the name of a worker:
3. You'll now be viewing the worker's payroll profile, where you can click Finish Setup to complete their onboarding:
