FAQs

Q: Why is there not an example for Employee email notifications?

A: Geofence alerts for Employees are intended to serve as a punch reminder. These types of reminders are best suited to be sent with push or in-app notifications, rather than emails, in order to ensure Employees receive reminders in a convenient, timely manner.

Q: Why did I receive an iOS notification that my location was used even though I was punched out?

A: Geofence alerts are designed to serve as a reminder to punch in or out when entering or exiting the designated work area, and will send alerts anytime an Employee enters or exits a geofence, regardless of punch status. Because they serve as a reminder to punch in, your location needs to be used while you're off the clock in order to trigger the alerts, but is not stored anywhere within the Buddy Punch system.
