How to Add a Note to Your Work Hours—Employee (Web/App)

Overview: Employees can add notes to their own work hours from the Buddy Punch website or mobile app. Notes allow you to provide additional details about your time entries, such as project details or explanations for adjustments, which can then be reviewed by your Manager or Administrator.

Instructions:


Add Notes (Web)

1. Employees can add a note whenever they punch in/out, start or end a break, and switch between jobs. The note box will be found below any shift information and job codes:

2. If edits are allowed, you can visit your time card and choose Edit next to the punch you want to add a note for:

3. Enter your note and Save it when done.

4. The note will now be visible on your time card next to the corresponding punch for you and management to view.


Add Notes (App)

1. Employees can add a note whenever they punch in/out, start or end a break, and switch between jobs. The note box will be found below any shift information and job codes:

2. If edits are allowed, you can visit your time card and choose the punch you want to add a note for. (Left image below)

3. Then click where you want to add the note, whether to a punch in, out, or a break. (Middle image below)

4. After you've added your note, click Save. (Right image below)

5. After saving, you'll be taken back to the Punch Details page where you can see your newly added note as indicated by an ( i ) icon. (Left image below)

6. If you click the ( i ) icon, you can open your note to view it in more detail. (Left image below)
