Overview: The message option allows Administrators to send an email, push notification, or both, to all or select employees from the Buddy Punch website.
Important: Messages can only be sent from the Buddy Punch website.
Instructions:
Send a Message to Employees
1. Start by clicking the Message icon located in the top navigation:
2. You'll receive a Send Message pop-up where you can:
Choose to send an Email, Push notification, or Both.
Decide which employees the message should be sent to.
Enter the subject of the message.
Enter the main body of the message.
Email: If you choose to message employees via email Email, they can reply to the email. Their reply will be emailed to the original message sender.
Push: If you choose to message employees via Push Notification, they are not able to reply to the message.
3. Click Send Message once done.
View the Message Log (Web)
Important: Message log details can only be viewed from the Buddy Punch website and are only available for the last 30 days. Prior messages are deleted.
1. To view the message log, start by clicking the Message icon in the top navigation :
2. You'll receive a Send Message pop-up where you can select Message Log:
3. From the Message Log, you can filter by Employee or Type (Email or Push Notification) and Submit:
4. You can then review the Subject, Message, and Sent details for any data populated:
FAQ
Q: Can employees respond to my messages?
A: Employees are not able to respond to push notifications. They can reply to emails. Their response will go to the email used by the message sender.
