Overview: Changing your browser’s language settings allows you to view menus, settings, and some websites in your preferred language. This article covers how to update language preferences in the most commonly used web browsers.
Instructions:
Google Chrome
Open Chrome and click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
Select Settings > Languages (or search for Language in the Settings search bar).
Under Preferred languages, click Add languages.
Select your preferred language from the list and click Add.
Use the three-dot menu next to your language to:
Set it as the Display language.
Move it to the top of the list for websites that support multiple languages.
Restart Chrome to apply changes.
Mozilla Firefox
Open Firefox and click the three-line menu in the upper-right corner.
Select Settings > General.
Scroll to the Language and Appearance section.
Under Language, click Set Alternatives.
Add or select your preferred language and click OK.
Restart Firefox to apply changes.
Microsoft Edge
Open Edge and click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
Select Settings > Languages.
Click Add languages and choose your preferred language.
Use the three-dot menu next to your language to:
Display Microsoft Edge in this language.
Move it higher in the list for website preference.
Restart Edge to see the language update.
Safari (on macOS)
Safari uses the system language set in macOS. To change it:
Click the Apple menu > System Settings (or Preferences).
Select General > Language & Region.
Add or drag your preferred language to the top of the list.
Restart Safari for the changes to take effect.
