Overview: If you need to capture patient information, employee temperatures, or any other information, this can be done by requiring notes on punch-ins, outs, or both. You can also require notes when an employee makes an edit.
Instructions:
Enable Required Notes (New Employees)
1. When you add a new employee, you'll find the new "Note is Required" option. You'll be able to choose from any of the options:
Punch In
Punch Out
Manual Punch & Edit
You can select more than one if needed:
Enable Required Notes (Existing Employees)
1. To enable required notes for existing employees, you'll want to start by clicking Employees in the top navigation and then View next to an employee's name:
2. Once in the employee profile, select the Edit button located in the top right-hand corner:
3. Scroll down to the bottom and you'll find the Note is Required option. You'll be able to choose from any of the options:

4. Click Save once done.
View Notes (Web)
Manager/Administrator View: Managers and Administrators can view notes directly from an employee's time card. Simply hover over to the chat bubble next to a punch. Notes can also be viewed on several of our reporting options including the Employee Detail and In/Out Activity reports:
Employee View: After the employee punches in, they will then be able to view the notes they've added on their dashboard as well as if they visit their time card.

Manager/Administrator View: Managers and Administrators can view notes directly from an employee's time card. Simply click on the "i" option next to a punch.
