How to Get Notified if Shifts Overlap Time Off When Publishing

Overview: When using scheduling, you may encounter situations where shifts are added on days when a worker is already scheduled to have time off. In these cases, it is essential to notify Managers and Administrators so that they can take the necessary action.


Enable Overlapping Shift & Time Off Notification

1. You can enable the Multiple Shift Overlap notification from the Settings --> Scheduling page:

2. Scroll down to find the Time Off & Shift Overlap option:

3. The option will default to Do Nothing, but can also be changed to:

  • Allow but Notify—An alert will be displayed, but publishing will still be allowed.

4. Save your selection when done.

You can proceed with publishing by clicking Continue anyway. You can also click on an employee's name in the error message to quickly filter down by them.
