Overview: When using scheduling, you may encounter situations where multiple or overlapping worker shifts occur. In these cases, it is important to notify Managers and Administrators so that they can take appropriate action.

Enable Multiple/Overlapping Shift Notifications

You can enable the Multiple Shift Overlap option from the Settings --> Scheduling page:

The option will default to Do Nothing but can be changed to:

  • Allow but Notify (An alert will show but publishing is allowed)

  • Block (Publishing overlapping shifts will not be allowed)

Save your selection when done.

Allow but Notify View

Below is an example of what the Allow but Notify message would look like if multiple overlapping shifts are encountered:

You can proceed with publishing by clicking Continue anyway. You can also click on an employee's name in the error message to quickly filter down by them.

Block View

Below is an example of what the Block message would look like if multiple overlapping shifts are encountered:

Click OK to go back to the schedule and make changes or click on an employee's name in the error message to quickly filter down by them.
