Overview: When using Scheduling, you may encounter situations where an employee has entered their unavailable hours, but shifts are created on these days. In these cases, it is essential to notify Managers and Administrators so that they can take the necessary action.

Enable Overlapping Shift & Unavailable Time Notification

1. To get notified if a shift overlaps with the time when an employee is unavailable, start by navigating to Settings --> Scheduling:

2. Scroll down and you'll find the Availability & Shift Overlap option:

3. The option will default to Do Nothing, but can also be changed to:

  • Allow but Notify—An alert will be displayed, but publishing will still be allowed.

  • Block—An alert will be sent, and publishing will not be allowed.

4. Save your selection when done.
