Overview: Administrators can publish or unpublish shifts from the Buddy Punch website or mobile app. Publishing makes shifts visible to employees, while unpublishing moves shifts back to draft so that changes can be made.

Publish a Shift (Web)
1. Its important to note that your current view will determine which shifts are included for publishing. If you need to publish only certain draft shifts, you may do so by changing your view with these options:
Use Filters
Change View By dropdown
Move to the Day or Month view
2. When ready, click the Publish Shift button on the top right of the Scheduling page:
3. You'll receive a pop-up where you'll see a breakdown of the:
The number of Total Shifts in view
The Total Hours in view
The number of Shifts Added/Changed/Deleted
Along with the option to specify who any notifications should be sent to, including:
All employees
Employees with changes only
Employees in the current view
Employees with shifts in the current view
Once you've made your selection, you can then either publish via email, push notification, or both. Your choice can be finalized by clicking Publish & Send.
You also have the option of choosing to Publish with no notifications:
Unpublish a Shift (Web)
1. When unpublishing shifts, the shifts you unpublish will be based on your view. To unpublish only certain shifts, you can change your view with these options:
Use Filters
Change View By dropdown
Move to the Day or Month view
2. When ready, click the Options dropdown followed by Unpublish:
3. And then finalize the process by clicking Yes, unpublish the shifts:
4. You'll be taken back to the schedule, where you'll find your newly unpublished shifts outlined in their respective color.
Important! Did some of your shifts not get unpublished? They might have already been punched into—more information can be found here for how to unassign a shift from work hours.

1. Its important to note that your current view will determine which shifts are included for publishing. If you need to publish only certain draft shifts, you can use the Employee dropdown at the top of the schedule or change the Start/End Date to change your current view:
2. When ready, click the Publish Shift button at the bottom of the scheduling page. (Left image below)
3. You can choose if you want to send a notification and, if so, how. The options are Email, Push, and Both. You also have the option to Publish with no notifications. (Right image below)
4. You'll then be taken back to the Schedule, where you will find your newly published shifts.
