Overview: Employee onboarding is one big part of the onboarding process and consists of entering your employee bank details, demographic data, previous payroll, tax information, and more.

This article covers everything you need to know about the employee onboarding process and the steps you need to take to ensure smooth onboarding.

Instructions:

Create Payroll Profiles

The first thing to do is create payroll profiles for your workers. The payroll profile is where all employee payroll information, like bank account details, pay stubs, tax documents, and more, are found.

Here is a complete list of all the demographic data needed to create a payroll profile:

  • Full name

  • Date of birth

  • Hire date

  • Pay amount

  • Social Security number (or EIN for some contractors)

  • Home Address

Customer creation: If you want to create payroll profiles for your own workers, just let our team know, and we can get that option enabled early on your account. More information on how to create payroll profiles here.

Buddy Punch creation: If you'd like for our team to create payroll profiles for your workers, we'd either need access to your current payroll provider to pull the necessary data OR send us a spreadsheet with the details mentioned above. That can be sent to [email protected] or through chat in the bottom right-hand corner.

Enter Bank and Tax Details

When it comes to entering bank details, we advise employees to enter this on their own to ensure the data is correct. However, Administrators can also enter this information on behalf of their workers.

Information on how to either initiate self-onboarding for employees or how to enter bank/tax details on behalf of your workers can be found here.
