How to Update a Worker Bank Account—Administrator

Step-by-step instructions on how to update a workers bank account.

Overview: If you need to update a worker's bank account for direct deposit payment, that can be done as an Administrator through our website. You can also restart the payroll onboarding, allowing the workers to update their banking details themselves.

Instructions:


Update a Bank Account

1. To update a worker's bank account as an Administrator, start by going to Payroll --> People:

2. Click View next to the name worker in question to access their payroll profile:

3. Once in their payroll payroll, click Update next to Onboard Status:

Important: Depending on where the worker is in their onboarding process, the link next to Onboard status may say Finish Setup instead.

4. After clicking Update or Finish Setup, the payroll module will populate. From there, click Payment method from the left-hand side and then Add account. You can then enter their new banking details:


Restart Onboarding for Self-Service

1. To restart the payroll onboarding and allow a worker to update their bank account on their own, start by going to Payroll --> People:

2. Click View next to the name worker in question to access their payroll profile:

3. Once in their payroll payroll, click Sending Onboarding Email located in the top right of the profile:

4. You'll see a green confirmation message shortly after:

5. When the worker next logs in, they'll see a blue banner letting them know Payroll Setup is available to them. They will also see Payroll Setup in the top navigation:

6. They'll be presented with a payroll module where they can click Payment method from the left hand menu and enter their new banking details:
