Overview: If your business needs to specify which customer the employee is working on, you can use our Department Codes or Locations to do this.  We'll choose to use Department Codes in this example.

First, as an Admin, you'll want to go to Settings --> Department Codes and create one Department Code for each customer. During this creation, you can also add these codes to your employees. Otherwise, you can do this after:

After you assign more than one Department Code to an employee, when the employee goes to punch in they'll see a selection of which customer they are doing work for:

Then when viewing that time on a time card you'll see it labeled with that customer:

And then when you export your time you'll see it broken down by that Department Code.
