Overview: When using the time off feature, you can sync your employee time off requests with either Google Calendar, iCal, or Outlook via a unique sync URL.
Instructions:
Enable Time Off
1. To enable time off, start by clicking Settings in the top navigation followed by Time Off:
2. Check the box next to Allow Employee Time Off and Save when done:

Google Calendar
Once time off has been enabled, you can then copy the sync URL and add it to Google Calendar.
1. To copy the sync URL, start by clicking Timecards in the top navigation followed by Time Off Calendar:
2. You'll then want to click the Options dropdown followed by Calendar Sync:
3. A pop-up box will populate with your unique calendar sync URL. Click the Copy option to copy the URL to your clipboard:
4. Open Google Calendar and select the + button located on the left-hand side of the page under Other calendars:
5. You will then need to select the From URL option:
6. This is where you'll enter the URL that was previously copied from your Time Off Calendar. Click Add Calendar when done:
7. The information from your Time Off Calendar should now be visible on your Google Calendar and you'll see the URL to your calendar under the Other calendars section:
Important: Google Calendar only refreshes feeds every 8 hours, so you won't see time off changes immediately after the first sync.
iCal
Once time off has been enabled, you can then copy the sync URL and add it to iCal.
1. To copy the sync URL, start by clicking Timecards in the top navigation followed by Time Off Calendar:
2. You'll then want to click the Options dropdown followed by Calendar Sync:
3. A pop-up box will populate with your unique calendar sync URL. Click the Copy option to copy the URL to your clipboard:
4. Open iCal and select File followed by New Calendar Subscription:
5. This is where you'll enter the URL that was previously copied from your Time Off Calendar. Click Subscribe when done:
6. You will be able to specify the settings for the calendar such as:
Name
Storage location
If you want to receive alerts
How often you'd like the feed to be updated
And more
Click OK once you've selected or entered the necessary details:
7. Once done, you will see the calendar feed on the left-hand side of the screen and time off information on your calendar:
Outlook
Once time off has been enabled, you can then copy the sync URL and add it to Outlook.
1. To copy the sync URL, start by clicking Timecards in the top navigation followed by Time Off Calendar:
2. You'll then want to click the Options dropdown followed by Calendar Sync:
3. A pop-up box will populate with your unique calendar sync URL. Click the Copy option to copy the URL to your clipboard:
4. Open Outlook and click on the calendar option:
5. Select Add calendar from the left-hand menu:
6. An Add calendar pop-up will populate where you'll want to select the Subscribe from web option:
7. This is where you'll enter the URL that was previously copied from your Time Off Calendar and can add other details such as the name of the calendar. Click Import when done:
7. Once done, you will see the calendar feed on the left-hand side of the screen and time off information on your calendar:
Important: Outlook refreshes feeds approximately every 3 hours, but can take up to 24 hours.

Q: Can I pull data in from Google, iCal, or Outlook?
A: No, we can only push data to Google, iCal, or Outlook and cannot pull information into Buddy Punch.
