When using our Basic GPS feature, an employee's location is only captured whenever they punch in or out.

Because we only capture the location of an employee when they punch in or out, very little data is used - approximately less than 10 kb.

There is sometimes a concern that the GPS feature will cause a users battery to drain. However, because the app isn't on at all times and we're not continually monitoring GPS, there wouldn't be any battery drain associated with it.

Employees are free to close the app after they punch in or out, as it doesn't have to be open or remain in the background.
